The Winter Solstice is a time of new beginnings. It marks the longest night of the year where the sun’s path is at its furthest, most northern point in the sky. This day represents the ending of one season, and a joyful emergence into the next. After the Solstice, the days begin to lengthen.

It is this balance of steeping in darkness yet welcoming the light that we embrace with the turning of the seasons on December 21. In the ancient yogic tradition, 108 sun salutations are practiced with the changing of the seasons, symbolically marking the transition from light to darkness and the growth of the self.

All levels are welcomed to the practice.
There's no need to bring your own mat.
