Titans of Finance: "The Anti-Bubbles" with Diego Parrilla (Managing Partner, Quadriga Asset Managers)

The IE Finance Masters department presents the next of their Titans of Finance speaker series: Diego Parrilla (Managing Partner, Quadriga Asset Managers), who will deliver a talk titled "The Anti-Bubbles." We are pleased to be able to invite all members of the IE Finance and Capital Markets Club to join.

Diego is Managing Partner at $1,5b Quadriga Asset Managers in Madrid. Prior to joining QAM in 2017, Diego lived in Singapore, London, and NYC and worked in macro and commodities sales and trading at industry leaders JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Dymon Asia Capital, or BlueCrest Capital, amongst others. 

Diego is co-author best-selling “The Energy World Is Flat: Opportunities From The End of Peak Oil” (Wiley, 2014), translated into Spanish and Chinese, finalist best business book 2014 Spain. His second book was titled “The Anti-Bubbles: Opportunities heading into Lehman Squared and Gold ́Perfect Storm” (BEP, 2017). Diego has published two Financial Times Insight Columns “The Energy World is Flat” and “Gold’s Perfect Storm” (front-page FT written edition 8th Aug 2016), his own column “Materia Prima” at El Mundo, selective contributions to CNN en Español, CNBC Squawk Box, Real Vision TV, and Bloomberg TV, guest lecturer and keynote speaker at LSE London, SMU Singapore, IFP Paris, LBMA Vienna, amongst others.

Diego holds an Master Science Mineral Economics by the Colorado School of Mines, Master Science Petroleum Economics and Management by the French Institute of Petroleum in Paris, and a Master and Bachelor Science in Mining and Petroleum Engineering from the Madrid School of Mines, which he completed with full scholarship and highest academic honors, including National Award for Academic Excellence awarded by the Ministry of Education in Spain in 1997.

Diego completed the JP Morgan Markets Training Program in NYC in 1998. Diego is passionate about foreign languages and cultures, and is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, and a keen student of Mandarin Chinese and Italian.
