Route Setting Session

Route Setting Session (Indoor Bouldering Gym)
6:00-9:00pm

We are excited to host a Route Setting Session in the Segovia Bouldering Gym!
We will be removing some climbing routes, and building new ones! This session is not only for climbers already familiar with setting routes, but also for climbers looking to learn the art and science of route setting. We will provide the required tools.

Topics will include: safety, tool use, optimizing space and features, inclusive planning and setting, creating a diversity of movements, how different holds affect a route, aesthetics.

LIABILITY WAIVER
By participating in the Sports & Well-being activities, the participant accepts the characteristics of the physical activity to be carried out, the required physical conditions, and the other conditions that the professional in charge of the activity, based on their knowledge and experience, establishes for their good performance. The participant voluntarily accepts the risk that the practice may involve, exempting IE from liability for injuries, illnesses or bodily harm that may occur or be aggravated by their decision to participate in the activities. Without prejudice of the foregoing, all IE University students who are enrolled in any of its public or private educational programs are covered by liability and accident insurance, and School Insurance covers students under the age of 28 who are enrolled in accredited courses at any of the University’s schools and up to date in the payment of all fees.

Use of your personal image

IE University and Instituto de Empresa, S.L. (hereinafter together, “IE”) inform the Student-Athlete that, as a global institution with the aim of publicizing the unique learning experience and community that IE offers, may need to communicate your information through its websites, social networks, and teaching materials about the activities in which our students and other members of our IE community participate. To do this, you authorize the capture of your image in the form of photographs and videos when participating in IE functions and events, and you authorize us to use, reproduce, distribute, and publicly communicate said image through analog and electronic means such as the on the internet and social networks among others. This authorization for the capture and use of your image is granted in all territories of the world as long as you do not expressly request the contrary.
