I Ditched My Smart Watch, and I Don’t Regret It

The New York Times

I shared some training recommendations while preparing the students for Sunday’s run and I tried to emphasize the importance of listening to our bodies and pay attention to the cues it constantly gives us. Plan your training zones based on how you are feeling rather than on the numbers you are reading on your device. Be flexible and ready to adapt your training if your body is giving you signals of overtraining. Be aware that we are all different and that what works for me might not work for others. Enjoy the journey to improve your health!

Sockfoot Soldier

Book by Cosette Haugen

Cosette provides a lucid view into the shortcomings of mental healthcare in America and invites readers to challenge their assumptions about depression and anxiety. Between the wild antics, you will find vulnerable reflections, lessons in empathy and perhaps the words to help you break the ice with your loved ones.

Forest App

It helps you focus by using the pomodoro technique - you plant a 'tree' for 25 mins then take a 5 min break, and repeat - and if you use your phone and leave the app the 'tree' dies. And the company actually plants real trees too when you use it! A very cool sustainable app to use when people are studying for exams!
