The Board of the IE European Union Club is looking for new officersfor the 2025/26 academic year. Below you will see a detailed description of all positions available and a link to the application form.
The deadline for submission of application is Friday, August 8th, 2025, 23:59 pm Madrid time. After the application form is submitted, we will contact you shortly (within a week) to have a short online interview with you.
Main task of the Head of the Chapter in Segovia is to effectively manage the branch of the Club, introduce its strategy, constantly communicate with the leadership of the Club, establish collaborations with partnering organizations and ensure successful hosting of planned activities.
Events Officer
The Event Department officers are entasked with organising both academic and social events, inviting and receiving high-profile speakers, creating designs for events, collaborating with other organisations-partners and moderating activities on the ground.
This position is available in both chapters of our club (Madrid and Segovia).
External Communications Officer
The External Communications Department officers work on raising engagement, managing the communication channels, social media of the Club, branding, photographing, video recording and collecting feedback from the attendees after each session.

The Board of the IE European Union Club is looking for Editors into the Core Editorial Team of the News and the Academic Articles sections of the IE European Union Journal. The selection consists of two rounds – the formally submitted application will be followed by an interview. The deadline to applyis Friday, August 8th at 23:59 Madrid time.

The position of the Academic Articles Section Assistant Editor will be key in ensuring the quality of the Academic Articles Section.
The main duties of the Assistant Editor are to guarantee that:
Authors and mentors are in continuous communication;
The agreed-upon deadlines are met by both authors and mentors;
There is clarity in regards to the duties of each author and mentor at all times;
The academic value of the produced output meets the necessary requirements;
The necessity for academic credibility is emphasised.
The Asssistant Editor has a say in the creative and academic direction and will closely collaborate in all their tasks with the Editor In Chief, the Section's authors and mentors. Every practical implication of the position (e.g what kind of tracker would be used, what is expected in certain situations) will further be discussed in the interview as well as throughout the time working for the Journal. The Assistant Editor shall be a person achieving high academic results (regardless of their field of study), open to learning, collaborating and working with a team.
News Section
Assistant Editor
The position of the News Section Assistant Editor is key in ensuring the quality of the New Section and the weekly EU Newsletter.
The main duties of the Assistant Editor are to guarantee that:
the formatting of the Newsletter abides by predetermined standards;
the formatting of the website News Section abides by predetermined standards;
the deadlines are met by authors;
the academic value of the produced output meets the necessary requirements;
the ethics of journalism are respected;
more than one perspective is represented in every piece.
The Assistant Editor has a say in the creative and academic direction and will closely collaborate in all their tasks with the Editor In Chief and News Section Authors.
