In 2026, Africa stands at a defining crossroads. Home to the world’s youngest population, the continent is witnessing a powerful surge of digitally mobilized youth movements, from Kenya to Senegal, challenging long-standing political establishments. Yet, many national leaders have remained in power for decades.

Are these youth movements ready to lead, or are they primarily a force of disruption?

Join us for a thought-provoking debate in collaboration with the Africa and IE Debate Clubs as we unpack one of the most pressing political questions of our time. Expect sharp arguments, diverse perspectives, and an engaging exchange on leadership, legitimacy, and the future of governance.
