Join a conversation with Mark Bray, a professor at Rutgers University (USA) whose work focuses on anti-fascism and political violence. Last fall, the American author of "Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook" fled to Madrid after receiving death threats following the Trump Administration's efforts to characterise the antifascist movement as a domestic terrorist organisation. In discussion with IE Professors Amanda Sloat (SPEGA) and Patrick DeOliveira (School of Humanities), Professor Bray will discuss how past anti-fascist movements confronted authoritarianism - and what their experiences can teach us about defending democracy today.
