Flyer for Meet and Greet with H.E. Raghed Al Saqqa

H.E. Raghed Al Saqqa officially assumed her post in early 2024, presenting her credentials to King Felipe VI on 22 February 2024 at the Royal Palace in Madrid. Prior to this appointment, she served as Director in the Department of Human Rights and Human Security at Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates

Although this is her first ambassadorship as Ambassador, she previously represented Jordan as Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy in Tokyo in 2018–2019. Her diplomatic career began in 1995, with postings in the Netherlands, Lebanon, France, and various departments within the Ministry, including oversight for regions such as Oceania, North America, and international organizations

Since arriving in Spain, Ambassador Al Saqqa has been active in fostering cultural, economic, and academic exchanges. Notably, she met with Casa Árabe’s General Director in March 2025 to review ongoing cooperation and future initiatives following Jordan’s role as “Country Focus” in the Casa Árabe program in 2024.
