Soledad Atienza is the Dean of IE Law School and Co-President of the Law Schools Global League. Recognized internationally for her leadership in legal education, she is a leading advocate for innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and the global practice of law.

Prior to joining academia, she practiced law at Pérez-Llorca and has held prominent leadership roles within the international legal community, including serving as Co-Chair of the International Bar Association's Commission on the Future of Legal Services. She is also Co-Director of the Pérez-Llorca & IE Chair in Commercial Law and a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Legal Education (EJLE).

Dr. Atienza holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from IE University, an Executive MBA from IE Business School, and a Certificate in European Studies from the Europa-Institut at Saarland University in Germany. She is the author of Teaching Law: Can the U.S. Experience Help Us?, a reference work on international legal education and pedagogical innovation.
