Join us for a panel discussion exploring the dynamics and evolution of leadership. As the nature of work adapts to advancements in technology and global conversations surrounding ESG and DEI initiatives, the demands on leadership are rapidly changing. Drawing from positive psychology, leaders can shape workplace positivity, fostering optimal thinking and behavior. Yet, challenges inevitably arise, creating turbulence and friction among diverse teams. Transforming these moments into learning opportunities requires cultivating trust and creating the right conditions for growth and catalyzing self-transformation. The discussion seeks to answer how leaders can optimize workplace conditions, design positive employee experiences, and mitigate the impacts of intelligent technology on professionals across a plethora of industries. 

Speakers:
Lee Newman is the 9th dean of IE Business School and professor of Behavioral Science and Leadership at IE University. He is an educational entrepreneur, a passionate teacher and thought leader with background experience in business, human sciences, and technology.

Corbin C. Wong is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist skilled in Quantitative Analyses, Applied Research, Psychometric Assessments, Organizational Design, Talent and Performance Management, Leadership Development, and Employee Training.

Lee Newman is dean of IE Business School at IE University in Madrid where he is also professor of Behavioral Science & Leadership. Prior to this role he was the founding dean of IE’s School of Human Science & Technology. 



His teaching and research focus on Behavioral Fitness and Positive Leadership – applying behavioral science to help professionals optimize their performance in the workplace. 



Before pursuing his academic career, Dr. Newman served as an Associate and later as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company in Chicago and was a founder and senior manager in two technology startups in New York City. 



Dr. Newman holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Cognitive Psychology and Computer Science, as well as a Certificate in Cognitive Neuroscience.  He has MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master in Technology & Policy from MIT, and a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with honors and magna cum laude from Brown University.



He is a citizen of the United States and resident in Spain where he has been living for the last 15 years with his family.
