Global trade is no longer playing by the old rules.
Supply chains once optimized for efficiency are now being redesigned for resilience. Geopolitics has stepped decisively into the realm of economics. Trade policy is increasingly shaped not just by markets, but by power, security, and strategic positioning.
In this masterclass, Andrés Salinero explores how international trade has been fundamentally reshaped over the past few years; and what this means for businesses and leaders navigating an increasingly fragmented global system. Using COVID-19 as a turning point, Andrés will unpack how the pandemic exposed deep vulnerabilities in global value chains, forcing countries to rethink dependency on critical goods and raw materials.
This session offers a clear-eyed, experience-based perspective on:
- Why globalisation is not disappearing, but mutating
- How geopolitics and trade policy are now inseparable
- What the protectionist turn means for international businesses
- Why emerging markets are gaining ground in the new trade order
Designed for leaders, entrepreneurs, and globally exposed professionals, this masterclass provides both strategic context and practical insight into where international trade is heading next.
