Join us for the inaugural event of the IE Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, a week dedicated to breaking the silence around mental health.
This powerful project highlights the journeys of IE community members as they navigate mental health and well-being challenges. Through first-person accounts, we’ll explore stories of resilience, self-awareness, and growth, aiming to inspire and ignite open conversations about mental health.
An initiative by the IE Center for Health & Well-being and IE Counseling department.

Tania Romero has a unique profile that blends Data Analytics, AI & Innovation with expertise in Talent Development, Coaching and Well-being. This has helped her to become a positive & strategic leader with strong business knowledge and analytical skills who is also passionate about human development and positive psychology.
Tania has 20 years of international experience in North America, Latin America and Europe across different industries: consulting, consumer goods and higher education. She truly believes that as technology evolves, the more human we have to become; for this reason, her curiosity and perseverance has led her to prepare herself through different studies and professional experience to become #humanic ( knowledge based on 3 literacies: #techliteracy, #dataliteracy #humanliteracy).
For the last 6 years, she has been in charge of Data Analytics, AI & Innovation Projects at IE University. Tania is helping IE to develop data driven strategies to find innovative solutions on IE´s customer journey; where she can leverage her advanced analytical skills and business experience with new technologies. Her work has focused on areas such as e-commerce, Digital Transformation, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Digital Marketing Analytics and Robotics. She is also an Adjunct Professor at IE University and a member of the IE Center for Health & Well-being, teaching wellbeing classes, positive technology and supporting the research area.
As part of her interests Tania wants to develop data driven strategies to find innovative solutions on today's fast paced business environment by helping people and organizations to become happier and healthier with a scientific approach and reliable data & analytics. She currently provides to colleagues and students with tools that help them to live a more meaningful, purposeful and happy life through her Positive Psychology classes and workshops. She helps to bring the best from people and help them to recognize their achievements and develop #self-confidence and #self-promotion skills by leading the #IamRemarkable initiative.

I currently hold the role of Deputy Head of Global Alumni Relations for IE University, where I am responsible for directing and innovating within all engagement initiatives for the IE Alumni Community.
I am a versatile and innovative professional, with a background in (and passion for) communications and media. Throughout my professional journey, I’ve developed a strong skill set in strategic project management and direction, event and program management, open innovation, and positive leadership of people, teams, communities and ecosystems.
Throughout my +15 years of professional experience I’ve had international roles in the media & entertainment, advertising, restaurant & operations, and higher education sectors. I’ve worn both the “client” and “consultant” hats, thanks to my ability to quickly adapt to new environments.

Gonzalo Llanes

Gonzalo is a psychologist and well-being & mental health advocate. He currently manages transversal research projects at IE's Center for Health & Well-being and facilitates workshops on positive psychology and mindfulness to promote a more conscious and purposeful community.
He has led the creation of 2 initiatives to reduce mental health stigma in K-12 schools and universities, sharing his own story of mental health challenges. He is currently pursuing his master's in clinical psychology. He strives to walk-the-talk in his daily practice, periodic silence retreats and in the real test, everyday life.

David Suarez
Vice-Dean at IE Business School
IE University
David is Vice Dean at IE Business School in Madrid, with particular focus on the International MBA and Master´s in Management programs. He is also serving as Vice Chair of IE University´s Center for Health and Well-Being. David has also been part of IE Business School’s faculty for over 15 years, as adjunct professor in the Strategy department, where he has been teaching in the across multiple MBA and Master Programs at IE Business School. David has also served on IE University´s Advisory Board, as well as IE’s Global Alumni Relations Board.
David is a passionate life-long learner with over 25 years of professional experience. He started his career in the engineering and software development space (Dassault Systèmes, US), but has spent most of his time in strategy and management consulting (Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, PwC), focusing on taking clients’ leadership and talent to their full potential. He has been a Partner for 15 years, lately serving as lead for People & Organization advisory in the Middle East, based in Dubai. He has also served on PwC’s Global People & Organization Leadership Team, and PwC’s Middle East Consulting Leadership Team.
As a strategy and management consultant he has served clients across multiple sectors, including healthcare, education, energy, telecoms, automotive, aerospace, financial services, and government & public sector. His clients have been in the US, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
David is also an executive coach, public speaker, investor, and also serves on various boards of companies in the start-up / scale-up stage. He is both a Partner and Board member at Reaction, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund focused on technology and sustainability solutions.
As a public speaker, David has delivered dozens of lectures and talks at multiple venues in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, mostly at professional conferences. He is part of EXMA Speakers Bureau, a marketing education platform in Latin America. The topics covered in his talks include Personal Growth, Life-Long Learning, Education, Wellbeing, Brain Health, Future of Work, Workforce Evolution, Human Resources, Digital Workplace, Change Management and Culture.
