Join Foresight 2050: Shape the Future of Sustainable Business

What kind of leaders will define business in 2050? Those who understand that profitability and purpose are no longer separate conversations. The future belongs to those capable of embedding social justice, diversity, and inclusion at the very heart of strategy and leadership.

You are invited to take part in Foresight 2050: Environmental and Social Justice in Business Management, hosted by EDHEC Business School in collaboration with IE, POLIMI and TUM. From May 28 to 30 in Nice, selected students will gather for an exclusive foresight workshop designed to challenge assumptions, spark bold thinking, and reimagine how companies can lead responsibly in a rapidly changing world.

Selected students will travel to Nice where they will network with peers from top European business schools, gain insights into cutting edge sustainable business practices, and become part of a movement that is actively reshaping the future of business.

Your Challenge

Select an artwork that powerfully represents social justice, diversity, or inclusion through its subject, context, or message.

Write a compelling essay, maximum one page, explaining how the artwork embodies these values and how, in the business landscape of 2050, they are fully integrated into corporate strategy, leadership decisions, and organizational culture. Bring your vision to life with concrete situations or examples that illustrate how these principles actively shape management practices.

On a separate page, include a reproduction of the artwork with the artist’s name and full credits.

Why Participate?

Finalists will collaborate with peers from leading European business schools, exchange forward-looking perspectives, and gain insights that can influence the next generation of sustainable leadership. This is not simply an academic exercise; it is an opportunity to position yourself at the forefront of meaningful change on an international stage. In addition, finalists will obtain two credits toward the IE Certificate on Foundations of Sustainability, further strengthening their academic and professional profile in this critical field.

The business world of 2050 is being imagined today. Step forward and help shape the conversation that will define it.

Apply by April 9 by sending your essay to bs.specialprojects@ie.edu
