This event, designed for first-years and beginners, offers an easy and interactive introduction to how data is used in football, no coding or prior experience required, just engaging stories, visuals, and discussions.
In 90 minutes, we’ll explore the 3 most powerful visualizations every analyst (and fan!) should know:
- Shot Maps → See how players like Haaland and Messi create chances in totally different ways.
- Passing Networks → Discover how Guardiola’s Man City and Klopp’s Liverpool play contrasting styles.
- Player Radars → Learn how to profile players and compare stars like De Bruyne, Modrić, or Haaland.
🎯 Goal of the Event
This session is an introductory workshop. By the end, you’ll understand the basics of football data visualization, and be ready for more advanced projects and technical sessions later in the semester.
