Ie University pioneers with Lucas Muñoz Muñoz a material research project conceptualised and designed by the madrilian designer: M15, a tool for design education on materials and applications which aims to contribute to a greater good for the creative community and the planet through the common effort of students, professors and the institution.

M15 is a territorial research that aims to create an open catalogue of processes and material possibilities out of what the project calls Informal Sources of Material (ISMs): constant residue material flows that is produced out of specific places. Any given human activity creates a leftover and from a creative lens it can become something new. The challenge assumed within this academic project is mapping those in Madrid and reclaiming, upcycling, repurposing and finding new value for them. Then creating a catalogue of this and opening it to the world.
