The five senses. Sensational Prado
Part 2 of Conference Series “Beyond the Prado: Art History Conference”

Join us for an experience that goes beyond the visual in art with Professor Teresa Parladé from Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado.

Teresa Parladé
i
s an independent researcher and Professor of Art History. Graduated in History and Geography at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), since 2012 she is member of the educational team of the Fundación Juan March in Madrid and since 2015 she is part of the teaching staff of the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation. She knows in depth our first museum institution, of which he has conceived very diverse perspectives and thematic approaches to transmit its collections, such as the subject "Hidden treasures of art".

Masterclass: The five senses. Sensational Prado

Contemplating a work of art entails much more than simply seeing it.

Undoubtably, the sense of sight is essential to perceive visual arts, but after the initial eye contact the rest of the senses are activated in such a way that a truly complete sensorial experience can be enjoyed.

This masterclass aims to bring the Prado Museums collection closer to you whilst exploring the ways in which artists have delt and represented the five senses along history in their dual informative and moving power.

When: Thursday, March 20th at 13:00
Where: IE Tower - T-09.04A

Don’t miss this opportunity to awaken your senses and deepen your connection with art!

*Light lunch will be served following the event on the 22nd floor.
