📝 Learn how to go from first draft to publication in this editing workshop! Led by editor Niels Bekkema, attendees will see what it means to be edited, common mistakes in the process, and how to get published as a professional writer.

📣 Come with your own piece to practice editing! The creative writing sessions preceding this workshop are designed to help prepare for it. Workshop is still open to all whether or not you have attended previous sessions.

Niels Bekkema is a writer, editor and translator with a background in visual arts. He is the co- founder of kilo Translations and is a Reader/Advisor/Editor at The Geopolitical Open Atlas of The Polity of Literature (The GOAT PoL) https://thegoatpol.org/about/. He works as a writing teacher, as an editor and translator for various cultural institutions in the Netherlands, and as a ghostwriter. He is currently a professor at IE University and finalist in the 2025 IE Foundation Prize in the Humanities.
