The session will cover the key role of the opening session of a course in establishing the learning contract between the professor and the students. We will talk about the importance of setting expectations and managing quality perception. Some specific guidelines will be proposed and discussed among participants. The session will also offer participants the opportunity to share their own experiences and discuss best practices.

Professor Teresa Recio has a PhD in Marketing and an MBA from IESE Business School. She has been teaching Marketing at IE since 2004. She teaches in the MBA, MIM, and Bachelor programs, as well as in Executive Education.
Professor Recio is also a senior business advisor and a member of the Expert Council Board at Opinno. Her research focuses on assessing the effectiveness of marketing activities and has been published in the Journal of Advertising Research.
