Before joining Rakuten TV, Laura held key roles at Sky Media UK, where she worked across content partnerships for some of the most influential channels in entertainment, sports, and news — including collaborations with major players like Paramount+.
At Rakuten TV, a pioneer in combining TVOD, AVOD, and FAST across 43 countries, Laura now leads the FAST channels sponsorship strategy. She has helped shape the platform’s bold content vision, including the production of over 20 original sports documentaries that spotlight innovation, women’s empowerment, and optimism.
In this session, Laura will explore the strategy behind magnetic branded content — from weaving brand narratives into entertainment, to leveraging data and emerging trends to drive innovation and engagement. She’ll also share key insights from her own career journey and offer a behind-the-scenes look at how Rakuten TV is redefining the relationship between audiences, content, and brands.

Rakuten TV is a streaming service that offers more than 180,000 titles, including sports, movies, dramas, and anime. As well as offering satisfying content to its customers, it also aims to increase users’ goodwill towards Rakuten Group as a whole. Since 2017 the company has also aimed for further growth through content such as the Rakuten NBA Special - the ultimate form of professional basketball. It also offers the Rakuten Pacific League Special, which provides streams of professional baseball games.

Laura López leads the FAST channels sponsorship strategy at Rakuten TV, one of the leading Video On-Demand platforms in Europe that combines TVOD, AVOD and FAST with presence in 43 countries. Rakuten TV has produced more than 20 Original sports documentaries reflecting innovation, women empowerment, and optimism.
She joined the company from Sky Media in the UK where she worked across several content partnership teams for Sky's Entertainment, Sports, News channels and Sky´s channel partners like Paramount +. She´s passionate about digital branded entertainment and has more than 12 years’ experience in international media sales and branded content.
