Tourism & Literature: The Opportunity for a New Humanistic Vision of Travel

Literary tourism is a growing segment worldwide. It is estimated to be worth $2.3 billion globally in 2024, and is expected to grow in 2025. This is a real strategic opportunity for Spanish-speaking countries in the Americas, where places such as the Macondo Route in Colombia, the Pablo Neruda house museums in Chile, the Borges and Cortázar circuits in Argentina, and the Magical Town of Comala in Mexico have become true pilgrimage routes.
