Details
For decades, the transatlantic relationship has been a cornerstone of Western stability, grounded in shared values and strategic interests. Today, diverging priorities, cultural misunderstandings, and shifts in global power threaten to turn that common ground into an ever-widening chasm.
This debate brings together Carlos Franganillo, journalist, television presenter, and former correspondent in the U.S. and Russia; Radka Denemarková, acclaimed Czech novelist and essayist, keen observer of democracy and human rights; Amanda Sloat, former Director for Europe at the U.S. National Security Council and expert on transatlantic relations; and Barney Jopson, Financial Times correspondent in Spain and Portugal with two decades of experience in geopolitical journalism.
In conversation with Frederick Studemann, literary editor of the Financial Times, they will discuss whether the U.S. and Europe are undergoing a necessary evolution or facing an irreversible divorce.
Event in English with simultaneous interpretation into Spanish.
