La obra de Cristóbal Balenciaga era una explosión de elegancia, excelencia, belleza, innovación y un canto a la elaboración artesana y exclusiva. Representa como pocos la modernidad basada en la tradición, a la que se llega a través del trabajo meticuloso. Toda una creación artística. Javier Echeverría Sola y Nerea Pallares dialogarán sobre esta forma de elaboración que es capaz de detener el tiempo, como se puedo ver en la exposición Cristóbal Balenciaga | Shoes from Spain Tribute, de la que Echeverría fue su comisario. Pallares es una escritora cuyas novelas y relatos descansan en la exploración poética de la delicadeza, el gesto manual y las formas de creación ligadas a lo íntimo y lo artesanal. Su escritura reivindica una idea de la belleza vinculada a la atención, la lentitud y el trabajo cuidadoso de las manos. El evento estará moderado por Enrique de Santiago, Senior Project Manager en Loewe.

Javier Echeverría Sola is an exhibition curator specialising in fashion, craftsmanship and contemporary culture. He is the curator of ‘Cristóbal Balenciaga | Shoes from Spain Tribute’, the first solo exhibition dedicated to Cristóbal Balenciaga in Italy, presented during Milan Fashion Week 2025 and which became one of the season’s standout exhibitions. With a dual background in business and the creative arts, specialising in fashion, leather goods and fashion management, and professional experience in the Fashion Department of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Milan, he develops projects linked to the international promotion of Spanish fashion, footwear and craftsmanship.
Nerea Pallares
Journalist, copywriter and author
Nerea Pallares holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Santiago and a Master’s degree in Comparative Studies of Literature, Art and Thought from Pompeu Fabra University. She is the author of the short story collections Sidecar and Los ritos mudos, and some of her stories have been included in anthologies such as Pena negra (2022) and Ellas, las extrañas (2023). In 2025, she won the García Barros Prize for the Galician-language original of Punto de araña.

His professional career includes senior roles at leading companies in the sector such as Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and Carolina Herrera, Pedro del Hierro and Inditex in Spain
