108 Sun Salutations to Welcome the Winter

Every change in season marks an end and a new opportunity. As the fall semester comes to an end, we would like to invite the IE Community, from seasoned to beginner yogis, to the 4th edition of 108 Sun Salutations to welcome in the winter and also the year 2023 with renewed intentions and energy.

This edition, the first one to welcome the winter, will be held at The Garden studio, a short walk away from the Maria de Molina campus, in partnership with Lululemon. We will also enjoy some fresh waters by Honest Greens, as in previous editions. 

The 108 sun salutations are usually done as a spiritual practice at special times such as transition between seasons, spring/summer or fall/winter, full and new moons. Why 108? The number 108 is considered to be a very spiritual and sacred number in the Hindu religion and is the number of names given to God Shiva. The approximate distance between the Earth and the Sun is almost 108 times the diameter of the Sun.

• ALL Levels Welcome!
• No need to bring a mat. The Garden Studio will have Lululemon mats for you!
• If you want to watch the world cup semifinal game afterwards, you have 1hr to go to the MM31 campus, where they will be screening it at 8pm.
