Wanjiku Ngare
A graduate of Georgetown University, Wanjiku Ngare has spent her early career in the social impact space within sustainability and international development. The desire to contribute to her local and global communities drives her academic and professional experiences. She is currently a student at Harvard University's Graduate school of Design in the Master of Urban Planning program, with a concentration in urban design. As a student, Wanjiku is challenging and expanding what it means to truly center the experiences of those at the margins and to value 'unlearning' as much as 'learning'. She believes that the choices we (as a collective) make in both spatial and nonspatial realms should be deliberately informed by an equity lens and historical perspective.
