Details

Data suggests that modern-day workers are under a lot of pressure and stress. During this conversation, we will talk about psychological factors that contribute to career stress such as the different definitions of success, the input from social media, and the myth of having it all. We will also examine how the science of positive psychology can be applied to our work lives to mitigate some of effects of present-day demands. Finally, we will discuss meaning and overall well-being at work as well as practical tools to manage our professional lives positively.

Stephanie Reina's profile photo

Stephanie Reina

Stephanie is a higher education professional and positive psychology expert who enjoys helping people through teaching, public speaking, and writing. She has been an adjunct professor at IE University since 2015 and was a Fulbright scholar while pursuing her first post-graduate degree.

 



She has an MSc. in Applied Positive Psychology with distinction from the University of East London. Her master’s thesis investigated the work values of millennials and the relationship between meaning at work and job satisfaction. Stephanie will present her research at the 10th European Conference on Positive Psychology in Iceland this year. Additionally, she is interested in the applications of positive psychology to work, education, and social media. Stephanie is an active member of the Sociedad Española de Psicología Positiva. Last year, she was also a volunteer group leader for Dance For Kindness, a global flashmob to promote kindness, held jointly by the non-profit Life Vest Inside and the IE Center for Health, Well-being, and Happiness.

 



Stephanie is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and conversant in French. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, salsa dancing, going to the gym, studying, and traveling.
