The Thinking Game: Film Screening & Expert Panel

As part of the Management Xponential Technology Program (MXT), we would like to invite all students to join us for a special screening of The Thinking Game, a compelling documentary by Greg Kohs that takes you inside DeepMind, one of the world’s leading AI labs, as it strives to unravel the mysteries of artificial general intelligence (AGI). Over five years of filming, the documentary captures groundbreaking moments, including the development of AlphaFold, which solved a 50-year challenge in biology.

Special Panel Discussion
Following the screening, we will engage in a deeper discussion on the film’s themes with a thought-provoking panel featuring Margarida Garcia, VP of Operations at Poolside, an expert in AI and its broader implications. Along with Joe Haslam, they will reflect on the challenges, opportunities, and ethical questions surrounding AGI.

MXT Program
For those of you who are not familiar with the MXT, it's a collaborative program from the IE School of Science and Technology and IE Business School, designed for dual degree students to leverage and maximize their learning across both disciplines. It equips them with the skills and Xponential mindset needed to harness rapid advancements and disruptive technologies, empowering them to achieve their goals and create meaningful impact in the world.
