Join us on the UN Children's Day to learn about the history of Middle East and Central Asia, through the challenges faced by children, understand the application of the SDGs and learn what you can do about it!

Through an engaging discussion with Professor Ibrahim Al-Marashi, we'll examine the impact of wars on the lives of children and the opportunities the SDGs provide for their well-being and growth. This event offers a unique blend of history and contemporary issues, shedding light on the resilience of children who have endured conflict in this historically significant regions.

Ibrahim Al-Marashi is a visiting history professor at IE University who teaches in San Diego, Rome, and Milan as well. He received his doctorate in history from the University of Oxford. His publications include The Modern History of Iraqin 2017 and A Concise History of the Middle East in 2018. He has travelled to 56 countries and this talk comes from his experience living in Yemen.
