Led by Rafif Srour, Executive Vice Dean of the Sci-Tech School, this session gives you usable tools right away—simple frameworks, real examples, and live practice—to explain scientific ideas clearly to non-specialists. You’ll build confidence and strengthen core skills—clarity, structure, and storytelling—so you can inform and inspire audiences beyond the classroom.

Rafif Srour
Executive Vice Dean of IE University’s Sci-Tech School
IE University
Rafif Srour is the Executive Vice Dean of IE University’s Sci-Tech School and an award-winning educator known for turning complex research and data into clear, audience-friendly messages. A STEM scholar with a PhD in Environmental Soil Chemistry, she brings scientific rigor together with hands-on coaching to help students speak with clarity, structure, and story. Her leadership includes innovating curricula and integrating AI to enhance how science is taught and communicated. Having taught and worked across Lebanon, the U.S., and Spain, she adds a strong multicultural perspective to connecting science with public audiences. Srour is an active member of the Learning Innovation Hub at IE University and of the IE Women’s Unit, advocating for women in STEM; she has been recognized among CDO Magazine’s Leading Data Academics and as one of Spain’s “Yo, Jefa” tech leaders.
