IE TENNIS CLUB: TERM 2 LADDER LEAGUE & COPA DEL IE 🏆

We’re back in 2026 for another season of tennis at IE! This term, we’re taking things up a gear with not just one, but two competitions: the Ladder League and our brand-new knockout tournament, the Copa del IE (yes, we took some inspiration from La Liga and Copa del Rey 😉).


🎾 LADDER LEAGUE
The Ladder League is all about flexibility, consistency, and fun. You can play whenever it suits your schedule, and every match is a chance to move up.

How it works: Challenge players up to ten spots above you — win and climb the ladder, lose and stay put.
Dates: 19 January to 6 May
Registration: Open anytime until 6 May
Format: Mixed gender

Prizes:
- 🏆 Highest ranked player: €125
- 🏆 Most matches played: €75
- 🏆 Most positions climbed: €75
Note: To be eligible for prizes, participants must have played at least 5 ladder matches.

🏆 There will also be a prize for 'Player Favourite', voted for by the league's players. The survey will open 3 weeks before the league ends.

🎾 COPA DEL IE – Winner earns €150, top performing players to represent IE at University Championships in Seville
Introducing the first-ever Copa del IE, a knockout-style competition where every match counts.
How it works: A single-elimination tournament — lose and you're out; win and move on to the next round.

Prizes
- 🥇 1st Place: €150
- 🥈 2nd Place: €50
- 🥉 3rd Place: €30


💶 Entry Fee: €10 per person
Since 1 February, registration remains open only for the Ladder League.

*All competitions are mixed gender.
