Marta Encinas-Martin works as OECD gender ambassador at the OECD’s Directorate for Education and Skills where she works in understanding gender gaps in education and skills, and also in the PIAAC survey where she managed relations with countries to ensure their successful implementation of surveys.

Previously she worked at UNESCO in various programs on assessment and measurement of educational systems in Africa, Latin America and Central Asia. Marta also worked on coordinating the Education for All international program and conducted extensive research on national assessment systems across the world, the results of which were published in the UNESCO Global Monitoring Report.

Manuel Muñiz is the Provost of IE University in Madrid and a Professor of Practice of International Relations. As Provost he is a key contributor to IE’s strategic development, and responsible for its international expansion and strategic alliances. Dr. Muñiz is also the Dean of IE School of Global and Public Affairs. As such he is responsible for the development of research and teaching in the fields of public policy and global affairs. Dr. Muñiz’s academic work has focused on the fields of innovation and disruption, political economy, and regional and global governance.

From January of 2020 to July of 2021 he was State Secretary (Vice Minister) at the Spanish Foreign Ministry. In this capacity he led the Strategy and Foresight unit at the Ministry as well as the Economic Diplomacy team, and the Communications department, including the Office for Diplomatic Information. During this time he coordinated the crafting of Spain’s 2021-2024 Foreign Policy Strategy, and led the work on the National Strategy on Technology and Global Order, a document aimed at launching Spain’s Technology Diplomacy. While in office he also coordinated Spain’s OECD Ministerial Presidency of 2020 and was a member of the Prime Minister’s Covid19 task force. Prior to joining the government Dr. Muñiz was the Dean of the School of Global and Public Affairs at IE University and Rafael del Pino Professor of Practice of Global Transformation. Posts he held between 2017 and 2020. During that period he also founded and directed IE’s Center for the Governance of Change, an institution dedicated to studying the challenges posed by accelerated societal and technological transformation.

In 2016 he was appointed by Esglobal as one of the 25 intellectuals having the greatest impact on our thinking about Iberoamerica.

Bedor started her career in Banking and was the first recruited Saudi female in Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), building up her career to be an experienced professional with 13 years of practice in Strategy and Transformation, Management Consulting, Leadership and Change Management. She worked with key center of government entities in KSA and was exposed to multiple sector such as Healthcare and the Saudi Vision 2030 agencies.

Bedor was recognized with an “Ernst & Young (EY) Middle East and North Africa Female Role Model” award in 2016. Bedor is a member of the Saudi Management Consulting Association. Bedor believes in the power of teamwork and positive healthy leadership style.

Luisa is the global director of the Wholesale Banking division, BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking (BBVA CIB).  She reports to the CEO and is a member of the steering committee of the BBVA Group. Luisa joined the Group in 1998 and since then has held various managerial positions, including COO of wholesale banking and global head of Cash Management, Global Head of Asset Management, Head of Transformation and Operations of BBVA Spain and Portugal, Director of Investor Relations and Shareholders and global director of investment and management of costs.

Before joining BBVA, Luisa worked for several years in London at Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers. Luisa has a Bachelor of Laws and Administration of Companies by the Pontifical University of Comillas, ICADE (E3).

Jose Esteves is the Associate Dean for Graduate programs at IE science and Technology School.  He is also Professor of Information Systems in the Department of Information Systems and Technology at IE Business School, IE University, Madrid, Spain. He holds a Ph.D. in IS from the Polytechnic University of Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain. Dr. Esteves serves as a consultant for a broad number of companies. His research has been published in the MIT Sloan Management Review and Information & Management.
