Where can I apply to the YCP?
Discover the application process by checking our How To Apply page! You will have to answer the questions on the application form and upload your CV. Remember, use the CV in IE CV Template and use VMock to improve it.
What are the requirements to apply?
- Currently in your 1st year of a single degree or in your 2nd year of a dual degree.
- Use the IE CV Template.
We recommend you to start working on your CV ASAP in order to be one of the first ones to apply!
What if I’m planning to go on an exchange?
We recommend that you review the dates for the companies that are of interest to you. Each company has different dates for the program, so apply to the ones that are compatible with your schedule. Usually, the companies are very flexible.
Do I need to speak Spanish to participate in the YCP?
It depends on the company that you are applying to! We recommend you to pay special attention to the “Student Profile” section of each company’s page. However, please note that in order to make your time with the company more beneficial, the programs have a significant face to face component throughout its years, which means that most of the participating companies will be based in Spain. Therefore, some of these companies will expect students to speak a sufficient level of Spanish to be able to interact, understand and integrate with other employees of the firm.

Can I do an internship in another company while participating in the YCP?
Yes, as long as it does not take place during the internship period established by the respective YCP company.
Do the companies choose the students or do the students choose the companies?
During the application process, you are required to indicate your company preferences. The university is responsible for choosing students to proceed to the pre-selection phase and the company will do the last selection. While we aim to respect your preferences, we also consider the profiles requested by the companies to ensure a suitable match.
What do I do if I want to change companies in the middle of the program?
You can not switch companies. You either leave the program or continue the program with the same company.
What if during the program the company is not happy with my work and involvement?
The company may request another candidate.
Is the order of application important?
Students will not be selected based on the order in which they have applied, but it is recommended to apply as soon as you have your CV prepared.
