This year, our theme is “Let’s start a conversation”, we have numerous events aimed at starting conversations around mental health; we intend to raise awareness and reduce stigma, listen to and validate diverse opinions and experiences, find solutions as a community, and to mobilize efforts in support of our collective mental health.
Agenda
Past Events
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
It is difficult to see someone you care about go through a hard time, whether it is a breakup, a depression, or an anxiety attack, and not know how to best help them.
If you are a concerned friend and want to learn how better to support others when they are struggling, this informative and practical workshop is for you.

Moderated by a clinical psychologist and sexologist, the forum consists of two 45-minute sections: mental health issues associated with a) gender and b) sexuality and affection. Each section begins with the moderator sharing relevant information, correlations, and statistics around the topic to then open the floor for attendees to share opinions, experiences, and ask questions.
- Face to face
- Online
The coordinator and counselor of the Outpatient and Post-Intervention services at the Recal Foundation, a prestigious rehab center in Madrid, and a patient from the same foundation will share their personal experiences suffering from substance abuse disorder to raise awareness about the highs and lows of substance misuse. Their intervention will be followed by a Q&A section.
- Face to face
- Online
The influence social media has on our body image and its correlation with the development of eating disorders has been widely talked about. We are constantly exposed to unrealistic ideals of beauty, diet talk, body shaming, thinspiration, weight loss posts, and more. In this seminar, a psychologist will discuss how social media impacts our body image and will teach us about how eating disorders develop. This lecture will be followed by a Q&A section where personal stories may be shared.
