Living away from home can be exciting; but it also brings unique challenges, from missing home and family to navigating new cultures and routines. This hands-on workshop helps participants explore homesickness and adjustment stress through reflection, exercises, and group discussion. Attendees will identify personal triggers, share coping strategies, and practice tools to feel more connected and grounded.

Pilar Filgueira
IE University
Pilar Filgueira is a psychologist with a PhD in Psychology and extensive experience in research, teaching, and social intervention. Specializing in Social Psychology, she has dedicated her career to understanding the interplay between subjective well-being and social inequality, with a focus on human development. Pilar’s academic journey includes multiple international research residencies, peer-reviewed publications, and a strong background in methodological teaching.
