  • How to Set Up a Zoom Meeting

    A. Start a Zoom Meeting

    1. Open the Zoom app and sign-in to your accountTap the orange “New Meeting” button
    2. Tap the orange “New Meeting” button
    3. Edit meeting settings if necessary (you can switch the video off for participants and use a Personal Meeting ID)
    4. Finally, tap the blue “Start a Meeting” button

    B. Add Participants

    1. When the meeting starts, click the “Participant” button in the toolbar at the bottom of your screen to add or manage participants.
    2. Click on the “Invite” option in the bottom left in the window that opens up

    You have the option to share your meeting details through a variety of communication methods.

  • How to Join a Zoom Meeting

    A. Join Using a Meeting Link

    Simply click the link or paste it into your web browser to join the meeting

    B. Join Using a Meeting ID

    1. Open the Zoom app and click on the “Join” button
    2. Write the Meeting ID in the box provided, fill out your name and click on the “Join” button
  • How to Schedule Meetings

    1. Open the Zoom app and click on the blue “Schedule” button
    2. Enter your meeting details in the window that appears. You can set the date and time, privacy and access settings. You can also choose your preferred calendar app (iCal, Google Calendar, etc.) to put the event in your calendar.
    3. After adjusting your preferences, click on the “Schedule” button at the bottom right of the screen
  • How to Record Zoom Meetings

    1. When your meeting starts, click on the “Record” button in the toolbar
    2. Choose either “Record on this Computer” or “Record to the Cloud” to start the recording
    3. To stop recording, click on “Pause/Stop Recording” or end the meeting
    4. Zoom converts the recording to MP4 format and stores it in your preferred location so you can easily access it any time you want
  • Screen Sharing

    Simply click on the “Share Screen” button in the toolbar in order to share your screen.

    This gives you the option to share:

    • A specific app or window.
    • A whiteboard
    • Apple iPhone/iPad screen

    This allows you to:

    • Host virtual presentations and workshops.
    • Explain processes in detail.
    • Review work and project documents together with your team.

  • Breakout Rooms

    These are essentially virtual conference rooms where only specific members have access.

    Click the “Breakout Rooms” button in the toolbar

    Pick your desired settings in the pop-up window (number of rooms, how to assign participants to a room)

  • Other Useful Tools

    Audio: Mute/unmute your microphone, select microphone, select speaker, audio settings

    Video: Stop/start video, virtual backgrounds & video filters, video settings

    Security: Lock meeting, waiting room, participant capabilities

    Chat: Message everyone in the zoom call or specific participants

    Reactions: Raise your hand, agree or disagree, or use other emojis to react

    Sharing host capabilities: Use the “Participants” button in the toolbar to open the Participants Panel allowing you to assign co-hosts and control the capabilities of the participants.
