On Sunday, September 28, we will have the opportunity to explore the Hoces del Río Duratón Natural Reserve from a unique, scenic, and fun perspective. We will take advantage of the “Veranillo de San Miguel” to enjoy nature in this privileged natural environment.
As we paddle through the canyons carved by the Duratón River, we will encounter cliffs over 100 meters high, hermitages, Roman bridges, and impressive flora and fauna.
Our 4-kilometer route will begin in San Miguel de Bernuy, passing through the riverside forest and into the Hoces del Duratón. Along the way, we will observe one of the largest vulture colonies in Europe, surrounded by extraordinary wildlife. We will continue toward the beach-like area of the Vencías reservoir, where we can swim, sunbathe, and relax in this natural habitat, before reaching the Fuentidueña dam and returning to our starting point in San Miguel de Bernuy.
At the beginning of the activity, there will be a short briefing on boat handling, route details, and insights into the flora, fauna, stories, and legends that enrich the experience.
Recommendations:
Wear comfortable clothing
Bring proper footwear for the countryside
Swimsuit, cap, towel, sunglasses
Spare clothes and footwear

By registering for the activity, participants confirm that they have an active health insurance policy, as this will be the first resource in case of an incident, before proceeding with the administrative process.
