Sports for Everyone! Whether you're a seasoned pro, a beginner, or just looking to have fun, IE University Sports Week is the perfect opportunity to get active, meet new people, and experience the energy of our dynamic sports community.
From September 22 to 28, all IE Sports Clubs will be hosting a wide range of activities, competitions, and open trainings—there’s something for every level and every interest!

This week is all about inclusivity and fun. Whether you’re an athlete or just want to try something new, there are plenty of options for you. With many outdoor activities on the agenda, it’s also a great chance to enjoy the fresh air while staying active and building connections across campus.

A workout that combines the best of dance and strength. It begins with cardio to the rhythm of the best music so you can enjoy it to the fullest, and continues with functional exercises designed to sculpt and tone every muscle. SWEAT is a unique fitness experience, created to engage both body and mind from the very first session, and to make training more enjoyable than ever.
7:30 PM – 10:00 PM
A 2-hour social volleyball tournament designed to encourage participation, community engagement, and friendly competition. Winners will receive prizes, and free snacks, popcorn, and drinks will be provided.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Get the chance to compete in this friendly race competition by IE students, for IE students. You'll get to compete against friends and fellow students and compete for prizes. The event will be organized into races of each stroke.
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
The IE Runners Club invites all IE students to participate in the Sports Week Interval Race, taking place on Saturday as part of the university’s weeklong celebration of movement and community.
This inclusive and social race will follow an interval format, welcoming runners of all levels. The event will conclude with music, giveaways, and a celebratory atmosphere to honor the spirit of Sports Week.
Top participants will be awarded IE Runners shirts, and additional prizes will be offered through the support of IE departments and clubs, including Women in Business and Wellbeing.

On Sunday, September 28th, we’ll have the chance to explore the stunning Hoces del Río Duratón Nature Reserve from a truly unique perspective—by kayak!
FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED PELASE SELECT YOUR OPTION HERE BEFORE TUESDAY 23RD: menu options
Taking advantage of the late-summer sunshine, we’ll paddle between dramatic river canyons with cliffs rising over 100 meters high, Roman bridges, hermitages, and an incredible variety of flora and fauna. Along the 4 km route starting from San Miguel de Bernuy, we’ll pass through riverside forests, spot one of Europe’s largest vulture colonies, and enjoy a beach-like atmosphere at the Vencías reservoir, where we can swim, relax, and soak up the natural surroundings before returning to our starting point.
At the beginning of the activity, you’ll receive a short introduction on how to handle the kayaks, along with insights into the landscape, wildlife, history, and legends of this beautiful reserve.
Recommendations: Wear comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, and bring swimwear, a hat, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.
The bus will leave from Pedro de Valdivia 21 Madrid at 8:00 AM.
(exact address: Calle de Pedro Valdivia 21). Please arrive on time as the bus has a schedule to follow. We will get back to Madrid around 6 PM.

Kayaking in the Hoces del Río Duratón 🚣🚣
On Sunday, September 28, we will have the opportunity to explore the Hoces del Río Duratón Natural Reserve from a unique, scenic, and fun perspective. We will take advantage of the “Veranillo de San Miguel” to enjoy nature in this privileged natural environment.
As we paddle through the canyons carved by the Duratón River, we will encounter cliffs over 100 meters high, hermitages, Roman bridges, and impressive flora and fauna.
Our 4-kilometer route will begin in San Miguel de Bernuy, passing through the riverside forest and into the Hoces del Duratón. Along the way, we will observe one of the largest vulture colonies in Europe, surrounded by extraordinary wildlife. We will continue toward the beach-like area of the Vencías reservoir, where we can swim, sunbathe, and relax in this natural habitat, before reaching the Fuentidueña dam and returning to our starting point in San Miguel de Bernuy.
At the beginning of the activity, there will be a short briefing on boat handling, route details, and insights into the flora, fauna, stories, and legends that enrich the experience.

Appropriate protection according to the weather
By registering for the activity, participants confirm that they have an active health insurance policy, as this will be the first resource in case of an incident, before proceeding with the administrative process.
