City of Segovia Bouldering Book Release

Join us for the launch of City of Segovia Bouldering — a free online guidebook that aims to get more people outside by providing information and maps on climbing that is walking distance from of one of Spain’s most beautiful cities.

Featuring Dr. Scott Borden, IE University faculty member and author of the guide, who will speak on:

* The importance of nature for mental and physical health
* How climbing builds community
* The inspiration behind the guide and what makes Segovia a unique urban climbing destination

The guidebook includes:

* Insightful sections on Segovia’s history, local geology, flora and fauna, and maps and pictures for locating climbing areas
* Climbing ethics for preserving outdoor spaces
* Seven bouldering areas – all within walking distance from the city center

Also featuring Phoebe Zeidberg, who will speak on:

* The IE Climbing Club
* How the sport is growing on campus
* Fostering strong student bonds through movement, challenge, and connection.

Free refreshments will be served.
