Like every year, the IE Debate Club holds a debate training taught by a political advisor and communication expert.
Throughout 7 sessions, you will learn all you need to know to boost your public speaking and argumentation skills. You will also learn how a real debate works and how to crush your opponents. These skills will help you in your class presentations and debates, as well as in your personal and professional life. You will also get an official certificate of completion and experience worth adding to your LinkedIn, ideal for 1st-year students.
If you like the experience you can continue debating with us by joining the debates and conferences we hold (like IEUMUN 2024). You can even opt-in to travel with us to external conferences in Boston, London, and Madrid, an opportunity only available to those who complete the Debate Training.
Every year we improve our offer and the number of students attending this Debate Training increases. Due to physical limitations, we might not be able to guarantee spots for everyone. We highly recommend applying as soon as possible as spots will be given on a first come first serve basis.
The scheduled sessions in Madrid are: Thu Sept 19, Wed Sept 25, Wed Oct 2, Wed Oct 9, Wed Oct 16, Wed Nov 6, Wed Nov 13. Sessions will be held in person at the IE Tower from 6:30 pm until 8:30pm. Rooms for every session will be duly confirmed by email.
