Christ Church, Oxford

Studied for a BA in Classics at Trinity College, Oxford, an MA in Ancient Greek and Comparative Philology (Indo-European linguistics) in Cologne, and a Ph.D. in Linguistics at Trinity College, Oxford. My MA research (supervised by Prof. J.L. García Ramón), focused on Oscan and Umbrian onomastics, looking at word-formation patterns, etymology, and other historic-linguistic aspects of Italic names. Professor of Oxford Trinity College of: Greek and Latin language, Greek and Latin literature from Homer to Julian (c. 8th c. BC-4th c. AD), and comparative linguistics.
