In March 2021, Forbes released the disheartening results of a survey carried out by The Trevor Project, the leading organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth under 25 in the United States. They determined that still, in 2021, more than 35% of LGBTQ+ youth in America, experienced workplace discrimination, with significantly greater rates among transgender and nonbinary youth.

At their workplaces, in public spaces, and even within their closest groups of relatives and acquaintances during their day-to-day life, the LGBTQ+ community keeps facing discrimination and harassment at daunting rates. Michelle Raymond and Mahmoud Assy, members and activists of the community, will be sharing their experiences and how these have shaped their lives and professional careers. In a one-hour interactive panel, the audience will get the chance to listen to their stories and put themselves in the shoes of those who still face judgement and hatred for their gender identity and/or their sexuality.
