Details
In celebration of World Meditation Day, proclaimed by the United Nations in 2024 and observed on December 21, this event aims to raise awareness of meditation as a universal human practice with profound benefits for health, well-being, and collective flourishing. Join us to learn from a variety of perspectives and personal journeys, and meditate together on this occasion.
Rooted in ancient traditions across cultures and religions, meditation is today also supported by a growing body of scientific evidence highlighting its positive impact on mental health, emotional regulation, and resilience.
Beyond individual well-being, meditation cultivates empathy, compassion, and clarity, offering valuable tools for collaboration, conflict resolution, and even diplomacy in an increasingly complex world.
This event is co-created with a number of valued partners, including the Embassy of Nepal in Spain, and features contributions from Adhara Psicologia, the Faculty at the IE Center for Health and Well-Being, and distinguished speakers such as Tenzin Dolkar, and Aakriti Maraseni. Together, these voices offer a rich, integrative exploration of meditation as a living practice for our time.
