In celebration of the International Day of Happiness on March 20, the IE Center for Health & Well-being, together with Campus Life, Sports & Well-Being, the School of Humanities, the Creativity Center, and the IE Well-Being Club, invites the IE Community to Happiness Week 2026.
This year’s theme, Connection: Belong, Support, Flourish, invites us to reflect on the relationships that sustain us and the sense of belonging that helps us grow. Throughout the week, we will create spaces to pause, connect, and strengthen the ties that support personal well-being and a more caring, resilient community.
Agenda
Upcoming Events
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
The essence of each person is the foundation of communication. Communication not as an act of transmitting information, but as a space for encounter and exchange between people. Through various performing arts tools such as play, improvisation, and body work, the aim is to develop stage self-awareness, active listening, and a genuine presence in relationship with others. The workshop seeks to foster each person’s creative potential by valuing their authenticity as a driving force in the act of communication. No previous experience is required, especially no background in theatre. Participants are encouraged to come with curiosity and comfortable clothing.
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Join us for a relaxed and creative session to explore the benefits of journaling for clarity, self-awareness, and emotional well-being.
We’ll introduce simple journaling techniques you can use in daily life, from reflective writing to creative expression. Each participant will receive a journal from the Center and have time to personalize and decorate it, making it truly their own.
No writing experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to pause, reflect, and create.
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
This exhibition explores water as an archetypal element and a vital resource, tracing its presence in Western painting across centuries. From its sacred symbolism in medieval Christian imagery to its role in mythological and religious scenes, and later in landscapes and everyday life, water emerges as a powerful visual motif. By the 19th century, it becomes a central subject in European and North American naturalist and Impressionist painting, reflecting both its aesthetic appeal and its enduring cultural significance.
