  • Who can apply?

    1st and 2nd year single degree students, and 1st – 3rd year dual degree students.

  • What projects are available?

    Projects are submitted by departments on a rolling basis. They can range from data research and organization to material revision and creation, event planning, IT, social media, and more. Click here to see current available projects.

  • What are the requirements?

    IE Projects is a competitive program. We will take your CV (in the IE Template), GPA, and fully completed application form into account when evaluating your application. The match of students to departments is done by Talent & Careers and is based on the established skills and profile provided by the respective departments.

  • How do I apply?

    Complete the application form and attach your CV.

  • I’m already signed up for the YCP / MIP / IEU Labs, etc. Can I still participate?

    Yes, as long as your schedule and availability permit. It is your responsibility to arrange your timetable and know this.

  • Can I participate in other work experiences while collaborating on IE Projects?

    Yes, as long as your schedule and availability permit. It is your responsibility to arrange your timetable and know this.

  • What is the time commitment?

    Collaborations have a maximum of one month, and students can participate a maximum of 10 hours per week.

  • Can I collaborate on more than one IE Project?

    Yes. If you enjoy the experience, we encourage you to apply to others.

  • Are they internships?

    No. IE Projects is an internal IEU collaboration, but projects are not internships.

  • Are they paid?

    No, collaboration on IE Projects is not remunerated.

  • Does a collaboration on a project impact my academic results?

    No. IE Projects is an extra-curricular program. It has no impact on your grades, credits, or transcript.

  • Will I sign a contract?

    Yes, all project collaborators will sign an official contract which outlines rules, expectations, and parameters.

  • How will my collaboration be assessed?

    Project supervisors will assess students’ performance. Student collaborators will be provided with this feedback.

  • How will I be recognized for my collaboration?

    You will be given a certificate upon successful completion of the project, and you may list it on your CV, and feature it on LinkedIn!

  • How do I incorporate this into my CV?

    Feature your participation in IE Projects where you see it best fits: RELEVANT EXPERINENCE, PROJECTS, or EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. 
    Be sure to name the IE Department as the organization and the type of project + "Collaborator" as your role.

  • Who is responsible for me while collaborating on a project?

    You will report directly to the Project Supervisor from the specific department, and they will be your primary point of contact for any information or issues.
