IE Shadowing

IE Shadowing is an exclusive hands-on opportunity for our Early Careers students. For one week in March or April, you will shadow professionals part-time in one of the many IE departments, participating alongside them to observe, assist, and gain insights. If you want a deeper understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities, tasks, and key dynamics required for your future job or career, this program is for you.

Application closes Monday, February 16th at 9am.

Expectations for a Shadowee

PUNCTUAL ATTENDANCE

The shadowing week is entirely in-person and the schedule is part-time. This means you are expected to be present on the specified campus 4 hours per day, on time, in appropriate attire all five days.

PROACTIVE ATTITUDE

You are expected to participate in all tasks with interest and respect. Tasks may include observation, meetings, events, assistance, feedback, and more. Open communication with your mentor is also expected.

FINAL FEEDBACK FORM

All Shadowees must fill out a short final feedback form as part of the shadowing experience. Once you've completed the week and submitted the feedback form, you will receive an official certificate.
