"In April 2013, Saffron was presented with one of its most enjoyable, if challenging, briefs yet – creating a brand for the UK’s largest music festival, V Festival. The challenge was to create a brand for an event - and an experience - that is fleetingly lasting, hedonistically enlightening, and a rite of passage for many below a certain age. The enjoyable part was pretty much all of it - we were creating a brand for a music festival, after all."

Having started off as a programmer with a BSc in Computer Science, Andra turned to the creative industry by joining and helping run AdVice Students, a Bucharest based youth NGO specialised in setting up advertising and design events for students and young professionals, and in parallel working as a graphic designer for BrandFusion, a top Romanian brand consultancy.

Four years ago Andra moved to the UK, where she gained an MA in Design, Branding and Innovation from Brunel University London, and soon after joined Saffron's London office.

At Saffron, Andra has worked across brand strategy, business innovation and digital with a diverse range of global clients, as well as working closely with Wally Olins on his book ‘Brand New’. Andra is also involved in a number of academic initiatives, including guest lecturing at Brunel University London and École de Mines de Saint-Étienne, and coaching students and companies in design thinking as part of the innovation workshop LaunchBox
