Our students are in class 4 to 5 hours every day looking at slides. We can do better than bombard them with PowerPoint. In this session we will be exposed to using Google Docs, Gamma, NotebookLM, and Gemini Storybook (I shall not cover Mentimeter as that has its dedicated training session).

The traditional master class, focused on the acquisition and retention of knowledge, often ignores the development of critical skills such as analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills and the development of interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Practical session on setting up and managing peer assessment with FeedbackFruits in Blackboard, ensuring fair, anonymous, and streamlined evaluation. Learn to use simple rating scales, peer-based grading, and automatic gradebook integration.

In this session, we'll cover the final steps of your course’s management, including Blackboard’s gradebook setup, exporting grades, and other key deadlines to keep in mind, such as surveys and reviews’. Join us if you want to wrap up your course smoothly.

The session will cover the key role of the opening session of a course in establishing the learning contract between the professor and the students. We will talk about the importance of setting expectations and managing quality perception.

Audiences look for two qualities in presenters: enthusiasm and authority. Your students want the same from you. In this session we will cover the aspects of nonverbal language that work towards transmitting passion and power, including what you should do more of and, maybe, also less.
