IE Creativity Day 2024: Alma Matter

Calling all film enthusiasts and creative minds! Join us for an exhilarating cinematic experience as we celebrate Creativity Day with a twist. Our film club presents "What We See: Perspectives through Different Lenses".

This event promises an immersive and collaborative exploration of creativity through the lens of various genres. Participants will be assigned different genres, ranging from drama to comedy, thriller to romance, and everything in between. Armed with cameras and boundless imagination, teams will embark on a journey to capture the essence of alma mater in their unique cinematic creations.

Mindfulness is the cognitive skill, usually developed through meditation, of sustaining meta-attention of the contents of one's own mind in the present moment. Mindfulness derives from sati, a significant element of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and is based on Zen, Vipassanā, and Tibetan meditation techniques.

Fashion Club x Creativity Day

Artistic jewellery is connected to the feelings, emotions and thoughts of the author, which is expressed through an object, the jewel. In this workshop the artist Helena Nieto will teach you the basic jewelery techniques to materialize your idea in a unique piece, a pendant. You will touch and feel the metal and learn how it reacts when you manipulate it with your own hands. A practical experience where you will feel like a jeweler for a day.

A mural is any piece of graphic artwork that is painted or applied directly to a wall, ceiling or other permanent substrate. Mural techniques include fresco, mosaic, graffiti, marouflage or POSCA.

Join artist Fernández Hurtado x Madrid-based IE Arts Club reps to intervene the walls of heritage building Casa de la Moneda.

Segovia-based collective Symbiothika is crafting a unique immersive video-mapping installation where infrared light will give attendees tha opportunity to project a universe of sensations and tangible experiences.

Guided by IE Professor Sofía Urbina, join us for this amazing opportunity to visit one of the biggest collections of contemporary art worldwide.

Marcos and Elena Rueda (MER) began to build their collection in 1979, with 46% national artists and 54% foreign artists, mainly from the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom.

If you want to dive deeper into the story of the family and collection, join us!

Transportation will be provided from Madrid to Segovia, and back to Madrid. The bus leaves at 14.30pm from the Tower, at PASEO MONFORTE DE LEMOS 2. The return bus will leave from Segovia campus at 17.30.

Meeting at 14:30 at IE Tower, we will be back in Madrid at around 18:30.
