This Club is going to give all its members the chance to know first hand the challenges and business opportunities available in the region, and also make connections with peers interested in starting new ventures. Through a series of firechats with business founders and forums with experts our club members will gain invaluable knowledge and insights directly from the persons that are disrupting most of the economy sectors in the region. The PPLE Society is a new initiative run by soon PPLE students. Even though the club is named PPLE Society, the events of the club are open to students from all degrees. The name comes from the idea to create a Club that similarly to our degree focuses on the interception of three major disciplines: Philosphy, Politics, Economics, and Law. Obviously, these will be interesting for many other students at IE and we are striving for a great and open community. Nonetheless, this club does not only strive to create value for the entire IE Community, where we aim to create a space to host exciting and interesting events on relevant and current topics/issues and create a space for open discussion, debate and exchange, but this Club also strives to create a PPLE Community that connects all years of PPLE students. This means, we also focus on creating bonds and links between the different PPLE years, and want to create an interconnection and community for all current (and future incoming) PPLE students.

We are a group of university students who aim to contribute directly to the achievement of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals via three main pillars:

PILLAR I - RAISING AWARENESS
Ensuring a long-term impact

We organise events and social media campaigns on pressing issues related to sustainability. This year we have tackled topics such as sustainable tourism, social innovation to combat poverty or sustainable finance.

PILLAR II - VOLUNTEERING & FUNDRAISING
Proactively contributing to current causes

Our time and our resources are the most valuable tools with which we can support the efforts of multilateral organisations and NGOs which are fighting towards the 17 SDGs by providing humanitarian assistance, advocating for human rights and giving access to education and equal opportunities.

PILLAR III - POLICY MAKING

We want to provide a platform for discussion and proposal of innovative solutions by students which will lead those changes in the future and implement the necessary reforms. Members of the club enjoy a unique learning experience and get to meet influential people in the field, for instance in our "UN Speaker Series".

We want to advocate for sustainable development and build a bridge between students which are passionate about the 17 SDGs and the actors which are implementing them from both the public and private sectors. In this way, we hope to make a long-lasting impact which will be reflected in future generations.

The objective of the IE Volleyball Club is to promote indoor and beach volleyball as activities beneficial for health, alongside one’s demanding study program. Our vision is to create job and network opportunities and to carry out real consulting projects for real companies. To insert the members in a European and Global network, able to enrich their unique experience through the contact with international students from other universities. Create channels of communication and collaboration with companies operating in the consulting field.

The way to pursue this ambitious Mission is threefold, through real work experiences, network opportunities and collaboration with firms operating in the consulting field.

Junior Enterprises, JEs, are non-profit companies run entirely by university students. They provide services to other companies, corporations, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and society as a whole. The projects executed by JEs allow Junior Entrepreneurs to positively impact their clients while applying their knowledge on real problems of the market.
Junior Enterprises allow students to understand and experience how jobs are led in specific sectors.
In particular, we have structured ourselves as a JE operating in the consulting sector, allowing students to live real experiences in the field, working on real consulting projects with real companies, giving them the opportunity to both exploring the field, for the less experienced ones and to deepen their knowledge of it, for the most experienced ones.
As a non-profit company, profits obtained from the projects carried out are forfeited by JE and cannot be distributed to the members . These funds can be used in marketing, training or event organization initiatives, thus strengthening both the responsibility of members and their membership identity.
Junior Enterprises forms a global movement
Junior Enterprises collaborate worldwide as a network. With support from their national confederations, JEs share knowledge and use common strategies to grow year after year.
The presence of this strong network allows to get in touch with realities and students from all over the world, giving the opportunity to carry out international projects in collaboration with JEs from other countries and to take part in events and initiatives at national, European and global level, with European and Worldwide conventions that are organized several times during the year, to give the opportunity to all Junior Entrepreneurs to get to know each other, to network, to create twinning and opportunities to exchange projects and knowledge. All the major universities and business schools in the world have their own JE and are very keen to show it, and many opportunities for exchange between universities often start from JEs.
JE creates long-lasting and stable partnerships with the main companies operating in the sector of interest of the JE, thus creating a preferential channel of communication between students and companies, which gives rise to networking opportunities, events, training and internships.
