Venture Street

Guillermo Flor, 2022 IMBA Alumni started his career as a lawyer in a top law firm in Spain. After finding his passion for entrepreneurship, he decided to leave his job behind and founded a startup, Tueri, starting a new journey.

Even though the startup did not work out and everything didn't go according to plan, Guliermo considers his first startup a great learning experience.

Learning to endure

To overcome the challenges of this startup not working out, he enrolled in the International MBA at IE Business School, which helped him reach a new perspective in life, specifically by learning about finance, venture capital, and joining Gohub Ventures a Venture Capital fund.

As an investment associate at GoHub Ventures, he acquired important skills by constantly being in close contact with creative and innovative startups. One of the key elements he learned from them is the importance of building powerful relationships and networking.

Lessons learned:

Connections make all the difference in both the Venture Capital and startup communities. Appreciating the value of networking and building powerful relationships is a game changer in every field.

Guillermo decided to start his newsletter, Venture Street, that helps:

- Entrepreneurs that want to know more about Venture Capital and growing businesses,

- Professionals that want to break into venture capital or learn more about investing in venture, and

- Venture Capital professionals that want to connect with other members of the community and see the ecosystem through another lens

By sharing his story of startups and entrepreneurs in his newsletter, Guillermo hopes to connect with others in the Venture Capital and startup communities. If you are looking for information regarding Venture Capital, sign up to receive Venture Street here.
