About the M&A Lab
The M&A Lab offers students a hands-on introduction to the world of mergers and acquisitions through a practical, immersive experience. Throughout the program, participants attend workshops led by industry professionals and receive guidance from experienced mentors who share insights from real transactions and deal processes. Working in teams, students analyze opportunities, evaluate companies, and develop acquisition strategies, gaining a clear understanding of how deals are sourced, structured, and executed. The lab combines technical learning with a collaborative student experience, allowing participants to apply concepts in practice while engaging with peers and professionals from the M&A ecosystem.
The program runs two intakes per year, in January and December. Applications are open to all current students and alumni who graduated within the past year, offering recent graduates the opportunity to continue developing practical experience in the M&A field while staying connected to the IE entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem.
